Myanmar’s capital is often thought to be Yangon, But Naypyidaw is the current capital of Myanmar. In 2006, it became the capital instead of the former capital Yangon.

Why I visited Myanmar
I participated in an event related to Burmese culture held in Tokyo with my friend and wanted to go to Myanmar with interest. I tried to wear Thanakha and ate a rice noodle called Mohinga. that was really unique to me. So I invited a friend from high school to organize a four-day trip of Myanmar. This blog is about my wonderful trip to Myanmar.
私がミャンマーを訪れた理由は、いくつかあります。
大きいポイントなったのは、以前ミャンマーの文化体験ができるイベントにミャンマー人の友人と参加したことがきっかけです。
イベントでは、タナカと呼ばれるミャンマー人の日焼け対策として知られている天然素材のクリームを体験したり、ミャンマーの名物モヒンガーを食べたりしました。これらの体験がこれまで接点のなかったミャンマーという不思議な文化のある国に強く興味をもったきっかけです。

Arrived at Yangon Airport and checked into the hotel, The hotel we stayed in was Little Yangon Hostel, Located near Sule Pagoda which is a Burmese stupa located in the heart of downtown Yangon. This hotel is economical and recommended as it is close to tourist attractions. such as Shwedagon pagoda. wifi is good, staffs are friendly and helpful.

Myanmar has a rich and unique culture.
Myanmar has a rich and unique culture for me. The first is the habit of applying powder called Thanakha to the face. This is said to protect the skin from UV rays. Thanakha powder is sold in supermarkets and also as a NIVEA product. There are also souvenirs for tourists.
The second thing is a national costume called Longyi which is a cloth sewn in a ring shape, Wrap around your waist. Longyi may be worn along with ready-made clothes such as shirts and T-shirts. It is fashionable.
