Influenced by India, China and neighbouring countries, Burmese cuisine is characterized by its intense and greasy taste. Anyway, a lot of oil is used, and people who don’t drink a lot of oil are likely to get sick to their stomachs. Of course I did.

In Myanmar, the use of oil is said to be a symbol of affluence, prosperity, wealth and if there is little oil, it feels like a poor diet.

It is touristy to eat with Irrawaddy Tea that can also be purchased as a souvenir at Yangon airport. Irrawaddy is a river that flows from north to south through Myanmar. It is the country’s largest river.
